AN EXPOSITION OF II THESSALONIANS 2:1-12!

Part 5 (Same First Page on Each New Part)

II Thessalonians 2:7 – For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

I long ago lost count of the number of requests I have received about the identity of the “he’s” referred to by Paul in II Thessalonians 2:7. I did not reveal what I believed on the “he’s” for some time, and did not start to say what I believed about it until I made a trip to Kenya in 1999. Joel Cobb asked me what I thought about the he’s while I was lecturing in the Seminary there. As I had done so often in the past, I turned the question back on the asker, asking him to first tell me what he believed about it. Before that, when the asking person had told me what he or she believed, I would quickly say – well, that is what everyone else that asked me the question believes, so you are on solid ground. And, indeed, those who had asked me previously, all thought it referred to the Holy Spirit being taken out when the rapture came at the first of the week. But, much to my surprise, I was shocked to find that Joel Cobb believed what I believed about the Scripture and, as far as I know, still does. So, at age 73, knowing my time on this planet is limited, in this series I intend to offer my case as to who I believe the “he’s” represent in II Thessalonians 2:7. The reason I believe so many have asked me who it represents is this – down deep inside some, who have been taught the “he” is the Holy Spirit, there has been a suspicion it could be someone else.

I intend to exposit line by line from II Thessalonians 2:1 to 12 in order to make my case, and this will be the beginning sheet on each new Series Part issued.

II Thessalonians 2:6,7 – And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

The he in verse 6 is the flesh and blood antichrist, whose spirit has been held back from revealing itself in the flesh since the time of the writing of the New Testament, as was elaborated in Part 4.

I John 4:3 – And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The two he’s in verse 7 do not represent the Holy Spirit. It is difficult to accept a higher power than the Holy Spirit taking him “out of the way.” And it is also very difficult to understand how such an omnipresent Spirit could be taken out of the way if his very character is to be present everywhere on earth. A major purpose the Devil has in raising up his own antichrist is destruction of God’s chosen people, the nation of Israel, and those who have believed in the seed of the woman, Jesus the Messiah. After the Devil has been cast out of his spirit abode in heaven, he will indwell the antichrist, who will be Satan incarnate in human flesh. At that time he will persecute both the woman Israel, and those who believe in the Seed Jesus, the remnant that came out of her.

Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The chief antagonist of the archangel Satan has always been the archangel Michael, who is the Prince of God’s people, the nation of Israel. He has been holding back the power of the spirit of antichrist from coming forth, as the spirit of Satan in a flesh and blood body, before the appointed time. A battle has raged between them since the fall of Satan.

Michael is identified in the spiritual kingdom as one of the chief princes, and is also designated as the spiritual prince and protector of Israel by an angel sent to Daniel. He is the most powerful of all the angels created by God and, apparently, the only one capable of ending the career of Satan as an accuser of the brethren, and finishing off his puppet, the antichrist. (Revelation 12:7-10 and Daniel 12:1). Michael’s power over the angels in the spiritual kingdom that surrounds us on this earth is presented in Daniel 10 and 12.

Daniel 10:13,14 – But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. [14] Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Daniel 10:21 – But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

II Thessalonians 2:7 – For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Michael, the spiritual archangel prince of Israel, has let the status quo continue, holding off the antichrist from being manifested, unveiled, revealed in human flesh, until the time God has chosen for him to do so. But it is a part of God’s plan for Michael to step out of the way “in the latter days,” and allow antichrist to come on the world stage, revealed in human flesh, to go unchecked against Israel for a period of three and one-half years. However, toward the end of that period, at the sounding of the seventh trump, Michael will again stand up for Israel, and play a leading role in delivering them from the antichrist. No one will be able to deliver antichrist from his fate when Michael stands up to defend Israel. After the antichrist has driven south to push Israel into the wilderness of the Negev while by-passing Jordan (Daniel 11:41 & Revelation 12:6), then conquered Egypt and driven to the borders of Libya and Sudan (Daniel 11:42,43), he will return to Jerusalem and establish a fortress headquarters on the Jerusalem Temple Mount, where he will be surrounded by the millions of tents of the great army he has called to the final great battle of Armageddon (Daniel 11:45). He will them stand boldly on the temple mount and claim to be the god of all gods (II Thessalonians 2:4), preparing to do what he came to do, destroy the nation of Israel, the children of God. Up until this time Michael has been the he who was taken temporarily out of the way by God, in order to let the antichrist make Satan’s final attempt to destroy God’s plan of salvation, which was extended through Israel, the man Jacob, to all men. But when Armageddon is about to be launched, Michael again stands up as the prince of Israel, the antichrist is soundly defeated, and the false prophet and the antichrist end up in a lake of fire.

Daniel 11:45 to 12:1 –And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Revelation 19:19-21 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

It would seem that when Michael is taken out of the way on earth, it is to fight a spiritual war with Satan in the heavens, which begins at the same time antichrist attacks Israel to begin the last three and one-half years of great tribulation. Michael and his angels win the war in heaven while the antichrist is winning his war on the earth. When the Devil is cast out of heaven by Michael he comes to the physical earth to indwell the body of antichrist, and the antichrist becomes Satan incarnate in human flesh.

Revelation 12:6-10 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. [7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. [10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

II Thessalonians 2:8 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

This is when the antichrist stands on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem claiming to be God as the Wicked Satan, revealing himself incarnate in human flesh. It will be when Michael stands up to defend Israel as her Prince, just before the vials of God’s wrath begin to be poured out on the earth. But it will be the Lord Messiah, Jesus Christ, who delivers his people at his coming, and who destroys the spiritual power of the Devil forever.

Matthew 24:30 – And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Malachi 4:2 – But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

We Are not Far Away From a Promised Kingdom Rest!

Since I believe we are not far away from the Christ child of the First Advent returning at his Second Advent as the Lion of Judah, I believe it is especially appropriate at this time of year to remember God-called missionaries as they labor in the midst of great difficulties in the nations hostile to the Gospel of Christ. We are not far away from the promised Kingdom Rest, and these missionary families are gathering gleanings of the final harvest. Please read the Blog concerning the Plaster family in Russia, and pray for them and all other missionaries who, in some cases, are truly in harm’s way every day.

Luke 1:31-33 – And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

God sent the promised Seed of Genesis 3:15 to Israel, God’s Seed of the man Jacob, but the nation of Israel rejected his Seed. He declared their Temple worship to be rejected by God from the time of his crucifixion, but promised he would return, at which time he would be accepted as their Messiah.

Matthew 23:37-39 – O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Israel will have a horrifying time of trouble, known as the tribulation period, through which she must pass before her Messiah comes at his Second Advent. This sudden destruction, also known as the “time of Jacob’s trouble,” will abruptly come upon Israel just when she thinks she has produced a time of “Peace and safety.” I do not believe that time is very far away. Children of God should not be caught by surprise when it happens.

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

The tribulation time of “Jacob’s trouble” will result in the deaths of two-thirds of the Jewish population in Israel when a Jihad attack of ten Arab nations comes against her. At the end of this war, during the battle of Armageddon, some three and one-half years after the initial attack, Israel will turn to Christ as Messiah in the Negev wilderness, accepting him as the Lord their God.

Zechariah 13:8,9 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

Jesus Christ will rule from Jerusalem as King of kings over all the earth.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

He was born in Bethlehem to rule, but was rejected by the nation to whom he was sent, so he gave Israel up until Israel brings forth national repentance for her rejection of him as the full redemption price for the remission of individual sins. Then a remnant of his brethren will return with him to the people of Israel.

Micah 5:2,3 – But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. [3] Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ from Jerusalem will be a fantastic time for all the saved who return with him from heaven at his Second Advent. It will be a time of worldwide peace in which those who come with him will rejoice in that they have a final time of REST from the conflict and woes they suffered during their lives in the flesh. Christ’s righteousness and faithfulness will give them that REST, which they will know is eternal.

Jeremiah 23:5,6 – Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. [6] In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Isaiah 11:5 – And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Hebrews 3:1-4 – Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; [2] Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. [3] For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. [4] For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

Hebrews 10:23-25 – Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

I believe the day of the attack against Israel is not in the distant future, and I am looking forward to his reign of peace that follows his Second Advent.

Isaiah 11:6-10 – The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. [7] And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. [8] And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. [9] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. [10] And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Hebrews 4:3-9 – For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [4] For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. [5] And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. [6] Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: [7] Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. [8] For if Jesus (Joshua) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. [9] There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Matthew 11:28,29 – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

His Christmas Choice for Us Allows Us to Choose Him!

THAT IS WHY CHRISTMAS IS MERRY FOR ME!

Hebrews 1:5,6 – For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? [6] And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

God made the angels, including Satan, and gave them a choice to choose him, but Satan chose to be his own god, and some of the angels chose to follow Satan.

Luke 10:17-20 – And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. [18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. [19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. [20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Revelation 12:4 – And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The Son of God was with the Father in the beginning, and witnessed the fall of Satan

John 8:56-58 – Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. [57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? [58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Colossians 2:9,10 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. [10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

The angels all made their choice before God created man, and are eternally sealed in it, but they had a choice, and some two thirds chose to follow God. Once we pass the age of mental capability, the Holy Spirit begins to convict our souls, and if we have not chosen Christ as our Savior before we physically leave this world, we will suddenly find ourselves living with Satan and his fallen angels, eternally separated from the God we chose to reject.

But he was never able to destroy the power that was in God’s Child, and that Child, the Seed of God, destroyed the bondage of sin under which we were placed by the actions of the first Adam – He stepped on the Serpent’s head and crushed the power he held us under, to make it possible for us to choose or reject God by acceptance or rejection of his sacrifice for us.

Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

John 19:30 – When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

I Corinthians 1:18 – For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Colossians 2:9,10 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. [10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Matthew 28:18 – And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Galatians 4:4-7 – But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, [5] To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. [6] And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. [7] Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Revelation 1:6,7 – And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. [7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Jude 14 – And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Luke 2:13-15 – And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, [14] Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. I intend to exposit line by line from II Thessalonians 2:1 to 12 in order to make my case, and this will be the beginning sheet on each new Series Part issued.

II Thessalonians 2:8 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

This is when the Wicked Satanic antichrist is finally fully revealed as being “that Wicked.” He will be part of a duo consisting of Satan, living in a temple of sinful flesh and blood, and claiming to be God, and the false prophet, swearing that his claim is the truth.

II Thessalonians 2:4 – Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

This is when antichrist stands on the Jerusalem Temple Mount in a sinful temple body of flesh, and claims to be God. This is when Michael stands up against him to defend Israel as her Prince. This is when no one will be able to help him and Satan will abandon him to his fate.

Daniel 11:45 to 12:1 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

The Wicked duo will be destroyed in a lake of fire burning with brimstone by the word of his mouth when he comes at his Second Advent.

II Thessalonians 2:8 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Revelation 19:13-20 –And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. [17] And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; [18] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. [19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Both he and the false prophet will do signs and lying wonders.

II Thessalonians 2:9 – Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

The second beast in the duo will, like the first beast, work signs and lying wonders. This practice by false prophets is a very old one, being practiced in the days of Moses.

Deuteronomy 12:32 to 13:1 – What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. [1] If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, [2] And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; [3] Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. [4] Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. [5] And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

The false prophet’s characteristics and activities are described in Revelation 13:11-13.

Revelation 13:11 – And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

This is the second beast, the false prophet of Satan, who is cast into a lake of fire burning with brimstone, along with the first beast, the antichrist, at the end of the battle of Armageddon. Their souls do not go to hell to await the final great white throne judgment of Revelation 20:11, they go body and soul into a lake of fire, and are joined by Satan a thousand years later before the final judgment.

Revelation 19:20 – And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:10,11 – And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. [11] And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

This second beast, the false prophet, comes up out of the earth, unlike the first beast, that came up out of the sea. He comes up with a doctrine of hell from the interior of the earth (See Birth Pang Numbers 8 and 17 in our Archives). Outwardly he gives the appearance of a little white male lamb in that he will seem to have dedicated his life as a living sacrifice to God. He will be one who is looked upon as the holiest man on earth appointed by God. His outward appearance as a lamb will be enhanced by his holy robes and dress, which will falsely associate him with the true Lamb of God. But what is inside this whitened tomb of spiritual death betrays who is really is, for his inner being is shown to speak with the power and voice of Satan. And out of his mouth will issue forth edits of the guile of holiness by human endeavor. I am convinced he will be the Pope of Rome – Not the present Pope, but he may well be the one that follows him.

Revelation 13:12 – And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

This false prophet of Rome represents the unholy spirit of the Satanic trinity: Satan the father, antichrist the son, and the false prophet as the unholy spirit. He is one of the unclean spirits of Revelation 16:13.

Revelation 16:13 – And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

In order for any occurrence to be officially identified as being a miracle, it must be confirmed as such by the Pope. He will confirm the resurrection of the first beast from a deadly wound as valid, and cause the known world of John’s day to worship him as being sent by God (See Prophecy Update Number 82, Part 3, in our Archives). For an exposition of “them that dwell on the earth,” see Prophecy Updates 77, 77A, 77B, and 77C).

Revelation 13:13 – And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

He has the same power as the first beast, being energized by the same Satanic Dragon. He is able to do what the priests of Baal could not do before Elijah – He causes fire to come down out of the first heaven, the earth’s atmosphere, and to strike the earth.

I Kings 18:36-40 – And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. [37] Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. [38] Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. [39] And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. [40] And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

II Kings 1:10 – And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

Please note that in both these cases it identified the one asking and receiving as being a man of God sent by God. The miracles and fire from heaven will convince both Catholic and Muslims that the false prophet is absolutely from God and has the power of God.

The false prophet will identify himself as the Elijah from God, and he will proclaim the apparent return to life from the dead by the first beast to be genuine, and will identify him as being sent by God. But why would God allow the false prophet to delude billions of people into believing that the Wicked one was from Him?

II Thessalonians 2:8-11 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, [10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

This power of the wicked duo will be counterbalanced by the two witnesses of God.

Revelation 11:6 –These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

II Corinthians 9:15 – Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:21 – And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: FOR HE SHALL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.

HE ALONE IS THE COMPLETE “KAPHAR” COVERING FOR ALL SIN FOR ALL WHO PUT THEIR FAITH IN HIS SACRIFICE AS THE FULL AND FINAL SACRIFICE FOR THEIR SINS.

The Old Testament word for atonement is the Hebrew word “kaphar,” which simply means, “to cover.” It is constantly and consistently used in reference to covering sin before God so that man may fellowship with him.

When man broke spiritual fellowship with God in Eden, his first action was to attempt to provide a “covering” to hide what he had done before God’s presence. This is the first Biblical example of man’s attempt to save himself from God’s condemnation by his own works.

Genesis 3:7 – And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

But only God can restore man to fellowship with him, and it must be totally by God’s grace, and not by works of man. So God instituted his plan of salvation by grace by promising a Seed, a Messiah, who would be born of a woman to save man by God’s grace.

Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

And then God provided man a picture of what he would provide as a temporary cover (kaphar) for the sins of those who believed his promise of a seed, until the Seed came and performed the act that would eternally provide a permanent covering (kaphar) for the sins of all those who believed in all the ages before, during, and after his coming. God’s salvation has always been by his grace to all men who would believe the Seed would come to save them by deliverance from God’s condemnation for sin.

Genesis 3:21 – Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

None of the animal blood sacrifices from the first one by Abel to the last one God accepted before Christ declared the Temple Mount to be spiritually desolate, ever took away any sins. The ones who brought them, that had faith in God to send a Savior to deliver them from condemnation for their sins, were saved by grace. Those who brought them in the belief the sacrifice in itself would save them did not have their faith in God’s promise, but in their own ability to reconcile themselves to God.

Hebrews 10:4 – For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

The picture in Genesis of the shedding of innocent blood of animals to provide a covering (kaphar) for man’s sins, had no power of its own, but the one who was coming in a body made by his Father in Mary’s womb, did have the power to provide a permanent covering for all sin.

Hebrews 10:5-10 – Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

When Messiah the Seed’s blood was offered it took away forever the sins of all believers from Genesis to the end of the Millennium. It is a once for all covering (kaphar).

Revelation Beatitudes of the Everlasting Gospel – Part 5

Revelation 14:6,7 – And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, [7] Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

There are seven beatitude blessings in Revelation. The fifth blessing is one that involves the degree to which the saved will be allowed to reign with Christ during his millennial reign.

Revelation 20:6 – Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

All the saved, the dead crucified and resurrected with him, will live with him a thousand years, but to what degree will they reign with him? Could it be that those saved who live with him will reign with him to the same degree they served him after they were saved? Could it be that those who denied him service after he eternally saved their souls, will be denied the right to reign with him to the same degree those who did not deny him that service? Could it be the saved, that were unwilling to suffer the emotional and physical rejection associated with their belief, will not have much of a role in his kingdom?

II Timothy 2:11,12 – It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: [12] If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

Paul died with Christ, as do all believers, the moment they trust in him to save them, but after his salvation he lived his life in submission to the Christ who indwelled him. Could it be possible that those who do the same will be given reigning assignments in Christ’s kingdom that are more fulfilling that those who did not?

Galatians 2:20,21 – I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Could it be possible the saved, who work at mortifying (putting to death) the sins of the flesh in their bodies, will be given more satisfying assignments in eternity than those who did not? Is it possible that the saved will reap what they sow?

Colossians 3:1-10 – If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. [2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. [3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. [5] Mortify (put to death) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: [6] For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: [7] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. [8] But now ye also put off all anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. [9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; [10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Galatians 6:7-9 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. [9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Colossians 3:23-25 – And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; [24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. [25] But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

II Coronthians 5:9,10 – Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. [10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Ephesians 2:8-10 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

James 1:17-25 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. [18] Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. [19] Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: [20] For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. [21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. AN EXPOSITION OF II THESSALONIANS 2:1-13!

Part 7 (Same First Page on Each New Part)

II Thessalonians 2:7 – For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

I intend to exposit line by line from II Thessalonians 2:1 to 12 in order to make my case, and this will be the beginning sheet on each new Series Part issued.

Please review Parts 1 to 6 before reading this continuing exposition of II Thessalonians 2:1-13.

II Thessalonians 2:10 – And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

At this stage of the antichrist’s earthly mission, the entire Islamic world will follow him as the incarnate Allah of the Prophet Muhammad. They would not put their faith in he testimony of the Prophet Jesus, who was God incarnate in sinless human flesh. Because they did not put their faith in the words of the Son of God, who was the promised Seed of Abraham through Israel, it will be required of the followers of Muhammad, and they will be cast into hell.

Deuteronomy 18:18,19 – I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. [19] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

John 12:48,49 – He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. [49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 5:40 – And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

They received not the love of the truth in Christ Jesus, but rather put their faith in the word of the false prophet Muhammad. So God allowed them to believe a strong delusion, and they believed Muhammad’s lies.

II Thessalonians 2:11 – And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie:

They had no pleasure in receiving the righteousness of Christ, but had pleasure in the unrighteousness of a lie. And, as a result of it, they remained condemned to the damnation of hell.

II Thessalonians 2:12 – That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

John 3:18 – He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It was God’s plan before the foundation of the world to save anyone by instantaneous spiritual sanctification of their spirit, and the eternal setting apart of their souls by the sealing of his Spirit. It was all to be done by God in response to their faith in the ability of a risen Christ to perform it.

II Thessalonians 2:13 – But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Ephesians 1:4-6 – According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: [5] Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Revelation Beatitudes of the Everlasting Gospel – Part 6

There are seven beatitude blessings in Revelation. The sixth blessing involves the blessing God has for those that pay attention to the book of Revelation by keeping what is written in it.

Revelation 22:7– Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

II Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

There are church members today, who are saved and justified by the blood of Christ, that live unjust lives. There are church members today, who are saved and justified by the blood of Christ, that live filthy lives. There are church members, who were justified by the blood of Christ, that live righteous lives. There are church members, who were justified by the blood of Christ, who live holy (set apart from the world) lives. If you don’t believe this, check the church history of any local church, or try to pastor one for any length of time. The key words in the verses that follow are quickly and still. The word quickly is an adverbial modifier used as a descriptive adjective, which refers not to “when” he is coming, but to the manner in which he will come at the rapture. According to Paul it will be as quickly as the human eye blinks. The word still is used in each of the four types in Revelation 22:11 to remind the reader his coming will be so quick they will be caught in whatever state they are living, with no chance for repentance and a change in their lifestyle. It is God’s way of telling the reader he needs to continually being found in living a righteous, set apart, life, or he will see they are caught in their routine life style when Jesus comes to get him.

Revelation 22:11,12 – He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. [12] And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Could it be that part of the reward will be exhibited in the glory of the individual resurrected? Could it be possible that a child of God reaps what he or she sows? Could it be that some bodies will be more glorious that others according to the degree they sowed to the Spirit? So also in I Corinthians 15:42 is a conclusion drawn to the verses that precede it.

I Corinthians 15:38,41,42 – But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. [41] There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. [42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

Could it be that the one said to overcome in Revelation represents a church member, who was still found living a righteous, set apart life, when he or she died a natural death or was taken at the rapture?

Revelation 3:19-22 – As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. [20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. [21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelarion 2:7 – He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:25-29 – But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. [26] And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: [27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. [28] And I will give him the morning star. [29] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 21:22 – And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

If there is no temple in the final heaven of the new earth and heaven, then is Revelation 3:11-13 not talking about the millennial reign of Christ, and Ezekiel’s temple. Is not the new Jerusalem a future promise that those who end up in the millennial city complex will also be in the final heaven age New Jerusalem city.

Revelation 3:11-13 – Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. [12] Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. [13] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

This is the final heaven age Kingdom city of the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21:21-26, which follows the 1000 year reign of Christ on this present earth.

Revelation 21:21-26 – And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. [22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. [23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. [24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. [25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. [26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

Is it not reasonable that all the saved will be there in both the millennial and final kingdom ages, but the faithful ones will live inside the city complexes and the unfaithful ones will live outside? Does a child of God not reap what he or she sows?

Revelation 22:1-7 – And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. [3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: [4] And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. [5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. [6] And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. [7] Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

We started Part 6 with Revelation 22:7, and now we end with it. Those who keep the sayings of this book will be blessed to the degree that they kept them.

Revelation Beatitudes of the Everlasting Gospel – Part 7

There are seven beatitude blessings in Revelation. The seventh blessing is for souls saved by the blood of the Lamb that washed them, who then go on to apply the same blood to wash their visible outer garment, which is seen by the world in their daily lives.

Revelation 22:12-14 (Final Heaven Age) – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. [13] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. [14] Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Church members, who wash their robes by applying his blood to their lives they live in the Spirit by submission to his Spirit, will be allowed to enter into the gates of the city and eat the fruit of the tree of life, which is Christ.

Revelation 2:7 – He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 21:1,2 – (Final Heaven Age) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. [2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 22:16,17 – I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. [17] And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (It flows beyond the gates)

Revelation 22:1-5 – (Final Heaven Age) And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (they will float on the water as it flows outside the city to the unfaithful saved living outside it).

Revelation 21:24 – And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Those living in the city will receive the blessing which is described in Revelation 22:4.

Revelation 22:4 (Final Heaven Age) – And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Those living in the Millennial Complex of Ezekiel 40 to 48 are described in Revelation 7:13-15. There is no temple in the Final Heaven Age.

Revelation 7:13-15 (Millennial Reign) – And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? [14] And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. [15] Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

Revelation 21:22 – (Final Heaven Age) – And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

THE TWO LORDS OF DAVID – THE FATHER & THE SON

In order to comprehend the prophecies contained in the 110th Psalm of David, one must understand it in the context of the New Testament. When Jesus ministered to his own people in the Gospels, he was ministering to a people that had accepted the traditions taught apart from the Holy Word of God. The people were looking for a conqueror like David who had, by the end of his long reign, established a material kingdom that reached its peak of material glory in the days of his famous son, King Solomon. New Testament Israel had been taught their coming Messiah would be a direct descendant of David, and that he was coming to defeat all of Israel’s enemies, establishing a material kingdom much greater than the one of David’s time, which would last forever. One of the Lord’s last statements to his captor, Pontius Pilate, shattered the traditional Messiah teaching that Israel had received from the Priests and Scribes.

John 18:36 – Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

He will indeed come as the Lion of Judah at his Second Advent, but he came as the Lamb of God, his only begotten Son, at his First Event, as David prophesied in Psalm 2.7 that Messiah would be God’s only begotten Son. Messiah came as God’s Son in Bethlehem.

Psalm 2:7 – I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

In the same Psalm of David, God pictures him coming at his Second Advent as the Lion of Judah, which was what the Jews were expecting at his First Advent.

Psalm 2:8,9 – Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. [9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Christ has been waiting, as God’s Lamb of the First Advent, for the time when he will return as God’s Lion at his Second Advent, which is referred to in verse one of Psalm 110.

Psalm 110:1 – The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The same aspect of the separation time between the two Advents is referred to several times in Scripture, as in Hebrews 1:13.

Hebrews 1:1-6,13 – God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [3] Who being the brightness of HIS glory, and the express image of HIS person, and upholding all things by THE WORD of HIS power, when he had BY HIMSELF purged our SINS, SAT DOWN on the right hand of the Majesty on high; [4] Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. [5] For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? [6] And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. [13] But to which of the angels said he at any times, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Psalm 110:1 – A Psalm of David – The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The Lord Jesus Christ identifies himself as much more than the descendant, the son of David, when he asks the Pharisees two leading questions in Matthew 22:41-43.

Matthew 22:41-46 – While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, [42] Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. [43] He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, [44] The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? [45] If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? [46] And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Christ clearly identifies himself as not only the son of David, but as David’s Lord, making himself equal to God. And, in Hebrews 10:12-14, Christ clearly pictures his everlasting priesthood that allows him to intercede for all sins forever.

Hebrews 10:12-14 – But this man, after he had offered ONE sacrifice for SINS FOREVER, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. [14] For by ONE offering he hath perfected FOREVER them that are sanctified.

Daniel identified the Messiah as a man elevated to the throne of God, some 600 years before Jesus was born.

Daniel 7:13,14 – I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. [14] And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

This was the kingdom Messiah came to bring in, but he, along with his kingdom was rejected by Israel.

Matthew 4:17 – From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 6:33,34 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

That kingdom is coming with the King at his Second Advent.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Malachi 4:2,3 – But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. [3] And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts. [4] Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Ezekiel 37:24-26 – And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. [25] And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. [26] Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

The temple of Ezekiel 40 to 48 will be built at the end of the battle of Armageddon and stand for almost 1000 years. The kingdom will continue in the heaven age but there will be no stone temple in it.

Revelation 3:12,13 – Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. [13] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 21:22 – And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

The pillars of the church age will become the pillars in the house of God in the millennium.

Galatians 2:9 – And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

The Vale of Siddim – Location of Sodom and Gomorrah

When I wrote my first book, “Tectonic Chaos”, I was sure of two things concerning the location of the Vale of Siddim, (1) It was near, or a part of, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and (2) It extended over on the eastern side of the Jordan River and the Dead Sea into what today is the country of Jordan. Knowing (1) and (2) to be true, I knew the long north to south oriented eastern side of the duel Jordan Rift Valley Fault went through the Vale of Siddim near Sodom and Gomorrah. I took the traditional, and most widely accepted, location of the Vale of Siddim as being on the southern end of the Dead Sea, with Sodom and Gomorrah being on the Jordanian side. But I was always bothered about locating it there because the Bible indicated that Lot settled on a “well watered plain” and, as a geologist and meteorologist, I knew it was not a “well watered” plain at the time Lot resided there. Geologically, I could not locate it precisely because the eastern branch rift valley fault extends from the Gulf of Aqabah along the entire length of the eastern side of the Dead Sea, and there are numerous salt domes from one end to the other. Wherever it was located on the Jordanian side, I knew there was a fault line extending downward to eventually reach hot liquid magma, which could act as a trigger mechanism to set off a gigantic explosion of sulfur, oil deposits and depressurized liquid salt, if a vertical shaft pike opened to bring magma in contact with sulfur depositions beneath the salt dome.

I wrote all of the preceding because I now believe traditional teachings of the Vale of Siddim being at the southern end of the Dead Sea were incorrect. It does not change what I believe about what happened at the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, because it was the Bible statement of slime pits existing in the Vale of Siddim that led me to my original conclusions. But I now accept that the Vale of Siddim extended from Jericho eastward across the northern edge of the Dead Sea into Jordan. The oil pockets, sulfur, and salt domes that previously existed above the magma along the eastern side of the Dead Sea fault would have been sufficient to produce the fiery holocaust the Bible presents.

I wrote “Tectonic Chaos” some 30 years ago after graduating from the Missionary Baptist Seminary and Arkansas Tech University, finishing it in the late seventies while doing post graduate work at ATU. I have since changed my mind about the location of the Vale of Siddin because of e-mail exchanges with Dr. John Melancon, an archeologist who used my “Geological Exposition of the Second Coming of Christ” video series to teach in his church. I believe he is correct in his placement of Sodom and Gomorrah. He is among those “eminent authorities” who maintain they were located at “the northern end of the Dead Sea,” as presented in the International Bible Encyclopedia. Dr. Melancon is currently part of a large archeological excavation team working in that area.

The International Bible Encyclopedia (I.B.E.) provides the following information about the Vale of Siddim.

“sid’-im, (`emeq ha-siddim; Septuagint he pharangx (or koilas) he haluke): The place mentioned in Gen. 14:3-8 as being the scene of encounter between Chedorlaomer and his allies with the kings of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim and Zoar. In 14:3 it is identified with the Salt Sea, and in 14:10 it is said to have been full of slime pits (“bitumen”).

According to the traditional view, the Vale of Siddim was at the southern end of the Dead Sea. But in recent years a number of eminent authorities have maintained that it was at the northern end of the Dead Sea, in the vicinity of Jericho. Their argument has mainly been drawn from incidental references in the scene (Gen. 13:1-13) describing the parting of Lot and Abram, and again in the account of Moses’ vision from Pisgah (Deut. 34:3).

In the account of Abram and Lot, it is said that from Bethel they saw “all the Plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.” The word here translated “plain” means “circle,” and well describes the view which one has of the plain about Jericho from Bethel as he looks down the valley past Ai. But it seems to go beyond the text to assume that the Vale of Siddim was within that circle of vision, for it is said in Gen 13:12 simply that Lot dwelt “in the cities of the Plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.” In the vision of Moses, likewise, we have a very general and condensed description, in which it is said that he was shown “the Plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm-trees, unto Zoar,” which, as we learn from Gen 19:22, was not far from the Vale of Siddim. It is true that from the traditional site of Pisgah the south end of the Dead Sea could not be seen. But we are by no means sure that the traditional site of Pisgah is the true one, or that the import of this language should be restricted to the points which are actually within range of vision.”

I am including Chapter 13 from “Tectonic Chaos” as it was originally presented on our Web Site. I still believe the geological elements of the earth mingled to produce the catastrophic event in the Vale of Siddim, but I was wrong about where it was located on the fault. It was on the eastern Arabah fault, but on the northern, not the southern end of the Dead Sea. So please just shift the location of Sodom and Gomorrah to a position just northeast of the Dead Sea in Jordan when you view the diagrams referenced in Chapter 13.

Tectonic Chaos – Chapter 13 – Shell of Salt from a Jordan Rift

One of the greatest jokes in the Bible to unbelieving scientists has long been the account of Lot’s wife becoming a pillar of salt. However, in the running to and fro of man above the planet, across the planet, and in particular, below the planet’s surface, sufficient knowledge has come to light to understand the methodology God used to being the event to its final conclusion.

Daniel 12:4 – But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Genesis 19:23-26 – The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. [24] Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; [25] And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. [26] But his wife looked back from behind him, and she BECAME a pillar of salt.

The “plain” to which the writer refers is the wide, flat rift valley fault at the southern end of the Dead Sea. Sodom and Gomorrah, before their obliteration, sat directly over the fault (F2) on the southeastern side of the Dead Sea shore (See Birth Pang Archive Figures 24 and 27). Examination of the geological substrata in this area is very interesting. The Bible gives a description which reflects that numerous shallow oil deposits existed in this zone prior to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Genesis 14:10 – And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.

The vale of Siddim (valley of the fields) was the territory south of the land tongue which protrudes into the Dead Sea from its eastern side (See Birth Pang Archive Figures 24 and 27). The great cataclysm which destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah was followed by subsidence of all the vale of Siddim, and up until the last century it lay submerged beneath the southern end of the Dead Sea south of the land tongue of Lisan. The “slime pits” were bitumen or asphalt pits. The words for slime pits in Genesis 14:10 are the Hebrew words “chemar beer,” and represent a pit of bitumen that extended downward into the substrata of the earth. Asphalt is a brown to black bituminous substance that is obtained as a residue in petroleum refining. A great deal of the asphalt of ancient times came from the Dead Sea, which was also called Lacus Alphatites. Asphalt is a mixture of hydrocarbons, in part oxygenated, the softer types generating toward petroleum. When exposed to the air it hardens partly by oxidation and partly by evaporation. There was once a large build-up of this petroleum based bituminous material surrounding the area of Sodom and Gomorrah, because the writer states that it was “full of slime pits.” Even today an occasional chunk of asphalt will suddenly bob up to the top as a sulfur vent erupts on the sea floor of the Dead Sea. There are, to this day, large sulfur springs that deposit heavy loads of sulfur over the Dead Sea flats in this area. Here, in the hey-day of Sodom and Gomorrah, was a great subsurface powder keg of petroleum hydrocarbons and sulfur, just waiting for a giant match to ignite them. Another compound, sodium chloride, better known as salt, has always existed in the upper surface layers of this zone as vast block formations hundreds of feet thick. So, here is the disaster, waiting for the God who formed it, to ignite it with what he put beneath the layers of salt, sulfur, and petroleum based material – thick deposits of salt immediately under the surface, petroleum hydrocarbons boiling up through cracks in the salt layers, and sulfur springs rippling into the salt zone both vertically and horizontally. All this formation needed to trigger it was a vertical thrust of the igneous magma into the crack running through the Sodom-Gomorrah area (See Birth Pang Archive Figure 27). As you can see on Figure 27, a vast molten sea of magma underlies the earth’s outer crust, and it is closer to the earth’s surface in this area than in many other parts of the world. Numerous fumaroles occasionally release hot gasses and vapors to the surface from old volcanic vents that still extend deep into the underlying magma, bearing testimony that intense heat pockets exist just below the surface.

Zoar was not resting on top of the powder keg. When Lot entered the safety zone to which God had directed him, then God pulled his tectonic trigger and completely destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. I believe that God opened his Dead Sea Fault just enough to allow the fiery magma to push up through the vents of salt layers he had long saturated with sulfur and bitumen. This touched off a tremendous chain of explosions that roared through the entire vale of Siddim. The explosions weakened the upper crust and great fiery swirls of pyroclastic materials were blasted high into the heavens. The writer describes it vividly by stating, “brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven.”

But what of Lot’s wife – how did she become a “pillar of salt?” First of all, she disobeyed God, and remained in the disaster zone – “But his wife looked back from behind him.” When Lot was safely inside Zoar, his wife was still standing in the danger zone “looking back.” This tells us why she became a pillar of salt – she disobeyed God! Now, let us explore how “she became a pillar of salt.” She observed the great vents of fire that went up into the heavens from the chain reaction, but before she could clear the danger zone a blanket of of pyroclastic material from the eruption rained down on her – and yes, you guessed it – the pyroclastic material was composed of hot, liquid, pryochemical salt. She actually “BECAME a pillar of salt,” exactly as the Word of God proclaims.

This sort of thing is not unheard of – pyroclastic materials of the local area covered the residents of Pompeii in 79 A.D. – They were actually encased, in perfect body form, by pyroclastic materials of the local area called “rapilli” that were thrown into the heavens by the eruption of Vesuvius. They became pillars of rapilli rather than pillars of salt. The Italian Florelli devised a method of making casts of the former residents by pouring plaster into the rapilli shell coverings. When the material rained down from heaven the residents of Pompeii were in the danger zone. I am convinced the same thing happened to Lot’s wife. The residents of Pompeii did not become “pillars of salt” only because the upper layers of the crust in their area were not composed of salt layers.

As the sulfur and petroleum based substances continue to burn both externally and internally, a great deal of the valley mass went up in smoke. Additionally, the salt blocks fused into more compressed strata and the limestone layers gradually shrank after the initial ignition by magma. This chain of events caused a further local subsidence of the graben valley floor. As it gradually sank below the level of the Dead Sea to the north of it, its murky water flowed slowly southward across the area like a great smothering blanket over the smoking valley, and much of what remains today of this great holocaust lies hidden beneath the shallow waters of the southern Dead Sea.

Please do not believe I am trying to “explain away” a miracle. God does as he wills with his own creation. I simple believe this is what God did. The sight that met Abraham’s view the morning after Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt, is a flawless description of a local opening of the tectonic plate along the Dead Sea Fault.

Genesis 19:26-28 – But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. [27] And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord: [28] And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

I believe God opened the Dead Sea Fault in a small local area to cause the terrifying picture Abraham witnessed in the aftermath of the cataclysm. I am convinced that God will once again open this fault in the last 1260 days of the tribulation period. But this time it will not be local – the opening will stretch from the southern tip of the Dead Sea via the land of Idumea to the northern extension of the Red Sea into the Gulf of Eilat or Aqaba (See Birth Pang Archive Figure 23). I believe the prophet Isaiah saw this happening in his vision of destruction in Idumea during the tribulation period (See latter part of Chapter 11).

Isaiah 34:9,10 – And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. [10] It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

Escaping by Grace, only to be Recaptured by the Law! Part 1

During World War II, when the Japanese had used all oriental types of torture to break the will of POW’s, as a last resort they would use the most effective of them all. It was not bamboo shoots pushed under the prisoner’s fingernails, which is excruciating painful. It was not physically painful, but it was mentally destructive and, in many cases, I have been told it broke the prisoner’s will and spirit to not spill the beans.

The Japanese would deliberately open a staged avenue of opportunity for the prisoner to escape. Once he took it and was able to get into the jungle, they would allow him to get far away enough from the camp to begin to feel a sense of freedom from the great prison camp time of bondage. Then they would suddenly recapture him and take him back to bondage. This would break him mentally, and he would remain willingly under bondage to their will.

I offer this World War II experience as an example of a born again, eternally saved soul, actually believing it had been set free from the bondage prison of the law, only to have false teachers pounce on it to take it back to the same prison from which it thought it had escaped.

Galatians 5:1 – Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

The most miserable people on the surface of the earth are not unbelievers, nor those who totally trust in works to be saved. The most miserable people are those who were genuinely saved by grace, and are then led by false teachers to go back under the law to be assured they will make it to heaven. Their struggle to “stay” saved is a mockery of the work of Jesus Christ being enough, and is the height of sheer spiritual foolishness. Their efforts to complete an already competed work by Jesus is a lifelong miserable experience for them, for they can never be sure they have added enough to be assured of a heavenly entrance, and their motive for service to God is not their love for him, but a fear they won’t do enough make it to heaven, so he let’s them go to hell!

Galatians 3:1-3 – O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? [2] This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [3] Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Believers are made perfect by their faith in the one time offering of Christ for all their sins as being the absolute, all sufficient, blood covering. They believe the offering of the promised Seed of Genesis 3:15 was more than enough to cover all their sins – past, present, and future.

Galatians 3:6,7 – Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. [7] Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. [8] And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Galatians 3:16-18 – Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. [17] And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. [18] For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Galatians 3:29 – And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

False teachers who lead born-again babes in Christ back under the law are in serious trouble, just as were many Japanese prison guards who mistreated American prisoners in torturous bondage.

Brother Earl Hamilton gave me an account of Jerald Mooneyham of Reedville, Arkansas, who was a long time prisoner of the Japanese, and underwent horrific torture. When the Yanks freed his camp, he cut out the heart of the one guard who had been guilty of the most serious atrocities, then threw his body on a railroad track that had delivered the prisoners to the camp. The false teachers, who led new born babes back under the prison camp bondage of the law, will suffer an eternal spiritual punishment much greater than the physical punishment of the Japanese guard.

Matthew 18:1-7 – At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? [2] And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, [3] And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. [4] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [5] And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. [6] But whoso shall offend (cause to stumble) one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. [7] Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

I Corinthians 1:17,18 – For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

I Corinthians 2:1-5 – And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. [2] For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. [3] And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. [4] And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: [5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Galatians 2:21 – I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

I Corinthians 15:19-22 – If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. [20] But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. Who Will Decide the Winner and New King in the March Elections?

As I have stated repeatedly in previous Updates – A mere mortal hoping to predict the outcome of Israeli elections, is like the desire to correctly predict the number of marbles in a 10 gallon transparent glass jar in a drug store window. Which is the reason I said previously I would not talk much about the elections in my future BLOGS. God could tell you how many marbles were in the glass jar and only he knows absolutely who will be the next Prime Minister or “King” of Israel, as well as who will be the last King.

Daniel 2:20-22 – Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: [21] And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: [22] He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Israel’s sound defeats of the Arabs in 1948, 1967, and 1973 has caused the nation to become extremely confident of its expertise and power. It has an attitude much like king Nebuchadnezzar had when he considered his past conquests and kingdom. But it was God who made him king and it was God who could depose him, which he did temporarily. God gave Israel the victories over the Arab nations, and gave it the land on which it now dwells. It is the hand of God that sets up kings and nations as well as bringing them down. Israel is going be driven south into the Negev off of the land that stretches from Dan to Beersheba. God will not restore the woman Israel to that stretch of land for some three and one-half prophetic years (1260 days)

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Daniel 4:28-35 – All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. [29] At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. [30] The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? [31] While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. [32] And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. [33] The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. [34] And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: [35] And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Israel will return to reclaim the land after 1260 days when it learns the principle of verse 32 – “until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.”

Zechariah 13:9 – And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

God’s Son, the Messiah of Israel, will be the final King of Israel and of all believers. God has decreed it!

Psalm 2:6-12 – Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. [7] I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. [8] Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. [9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. [10] Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. [11] Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

In the not too distant future, 10 Arab kings will attack the nation of Israel and drive one third of the Jewish population into the Negev, “and in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed.”

Daniel 2:42-45 – And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. [43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. [44] And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. [45] Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

The great mountain pictures God. Messiah is the stone God cut out of himself by his invisible hands. Messiah is the final King of kings.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

All of the expertise of great empires of the past, the Babylonian (gold), the Persian (silver), the Grecian (brass), and Roman (iron), will crash to the ground with the return of Messiah to crush the power of the empire of 10 Islamic nations, whose countries were once occupied by, and part of, the old Roman empire.

This is the kingdom and dominion spoken of in Daniel 2:34, and to which Daniel refers in Daniel 7:13,14.

Messiah will rule over all the kingdoms of this world, both spiritual and physical, as God’s only begotten Son.

Revelation 11:15 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 10:7 – But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

I Corinthians 15:51,52 – Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 11:18 – And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
