Servant Israel Glorifies God by Jesus – Part 19

Isaiah 51:2 – Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

[2A] “LOOK UNTO ABRAHAM YOUR FATHER,”

John 8:39,40 – They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. [40] But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

John 8:56-59 – Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. [57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? [58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. [59] Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

It is true that this promise is to the descendants of the man Abraham, and that it includes both physical and spiritual promises, encompassing a land grant and the promise of spiritual salvation through the descendant of Abraham, the man Christ Jesus, but salvation and the kingdom was also extended to those Gentiles who would believe in the Seed of Abraham, Messiah Jesus.

Galatians 3:16 – Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 3:6-9 – Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.  [7] Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. [8] And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. [9] So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Romans 2:28,29 – For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: [29] But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Romans 9:6-8 – Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: [7] Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. [8] That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

[2B] “AND UNTO SARAH THAT BARE YOU:”

Romans 9:9 – For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

Hebrews 11:11 – Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Romans 4:3-9 –  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. [4] Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. [5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. [6] Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, [7] Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. [9] Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

[2C] “FOR I CALLED HIM ALONE, AND BLESSED HIM, AND INCREASED HIM.”

Genesis 12:1-3 – Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and IN THEE shall all FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.

Genesis 22:18 – And IN THY SEED shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Galatians 3:16 – Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to THY SEED, WHICH IS CHRIST.

Abraham was the seed of Seth from whom the promised Seed of Genesis 3:15 was to come.

Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and HER SEED; IT shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise HIS heel.

Genesis 4:25,26 – And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another SEED instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. [26] And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

Heli, the father of the Virgin Mary, was a direct descendant of the Seed of Seth and his seed Enos through the line of Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, David, and Zerubbabel.

Zechariah 4:6,7 – Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. [7] Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

John 1:16,17 – And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. [17] For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Luke 1:35,31-34 – And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. [31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. [34] Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

Salvation has always been by faith in God’s promise he would one day send a seed, a man child, who would save those who would call on his name.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 10:17 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

John 5:40 – And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Servant Israel Glorifies God by Jesus!  Part 20

Isaiah 51:3 – For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

There is coming a time, following the Second Advent of Jesus Christ, during his millennial reign, that Israel will be comforted as God’s people as they have never been comforted before.

“FOR THE LORD SHALL CONFORT ZION:” [3a]

Isaiah 40:9-11 –  O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! [10] Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. [11] He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isaiah 66:13,14 – As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. [14] And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

“HE WILL COMFORT ALL HER WASTE PLACES” [3b]

Isaiah 61:4-7 – And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. [5] And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. [6] But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.  [7] For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

Amos 9:11-15 – In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: [12] That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this. [13] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. [14] And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. [15] And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.

“AND HE WILL MAKE HER WILDERNESS LIKE EDEN, AND HER DESERT LIKE THE GARDEN OF THE LORD;” [3c]

Isaiah 32:14-18 – Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; [15] Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. [16] Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. [17] And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. [18] And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Isaiah 35:1,2 – The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. [2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

Isaiah 41:18-20 – I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. [19] I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: [20] That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

Isaiah 43:19-21 – Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. [20] The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. [21] This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

“JOY AND GLADNESS SHALL BE FOUND THERE-IN, THANKS-GIVING, AND THE VOICE OF MELODY.” [3d]

Psalm 149:1-5 – Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. [2] Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. [3] Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. [4] For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. [5] Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Psalm 66:1-4 – Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: [2] Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. [3] Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. [4] All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Isaiah 66:10 – Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:

Revelation 20:6 – Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Servant Israel Glorifies God by Jesus – Part 21

ISAIAH 51:4 – Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

The nation of Israel was supposed to hearken to the law given by God. The law was a standard of righteousness that man could not possibly keep in his fallen state of inherited sinfulness. The law was designed to show man how sinful he is, and to lead him to acknowledge it to himself and to God by repentance toward God, and by placing his faith in the Messiah God would send to give light to the people, explaining how only he could put the judgment of God to rest by his sacrifice for all sin on the cross.

Acts 20:21 – Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:13 – For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Romans 5:18 – Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

John 1:17 – For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

The world is judged by the law of God, which presents the light of his righteousness to darkened sinful hearts. Christ is he only man who ever lived that maintained the light of righteousness in the law from the womb to death. He kept the law of God perfectly, every jot and tittle. Jesus alone earned the right to judge all men and women by his standard of righteousness, which is the righteousness of God. The light manifested by his life has caused God’s judgment of condemnation to be put to rest for those who come to the light and receive it.

John 1:4 – In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Isaiah 51:4 – Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

John 3:18-20 – He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 5:24 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Jesus was not discouraged, nor did he fail to keep all of the law, thereby setting judgment in the earth for all men to see their sinfulness in their inability to keep it.

Isaiah 42:1,4 – Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. [4] He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

ISAIAH 51:5 – My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

“MY RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NEAR:”

Romans 3:10 – As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23-26 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Philippians 3:9 – And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

“MY SALVATION IS GONE FORTH, AND MINE ARMS SHALL JUDGE THE PEOPLE;”

Isaiah 53:1-3 – Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? [2] For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. [3] He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Romans 10:17-21 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. [18] But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. [19] But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you. [20] But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. [21] But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

“THE ISLES SHALL WAIT UPON ME, AND ON MY ARM SHALL THEY TRUST.”

Isaiah 42:3,4 – A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. [4] He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and THE ISLES SHALL WAIT FOR HIS LAW.

John 12:44-50 – Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. [45] And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. [46] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. [47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. [48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. [49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. [50] And I know that his COMMANDMENT IS LIFE EVERLASTING: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Ephes. 4:30 – And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed UNTO the day of redemption.

Isaiah 42:1-7 – Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. [2] He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. [3] A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. [4] He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. [5] Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: [6] I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; [7] To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Psalm 2:10-12 – Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. [11] Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

“THE ISLES SHALL WAIT UPON ME, AND ON MY ARM SHALL THEY TRUST.”

Ephesians 1:12,13 – That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Number of Worldwide Earthquakes (19 Year Cycles)

Greater Than 1 on the Richter Scale

Reported by U.S. Geological Survey 1948 to 2005

This is an update of the earthquake statistics I began to keep some 27 years ago, updating them every year, and presenting them as I conducted lectures across the earth. You will find them in all my books, and may view them by clicking on “Birth Pang” on Our Menu, and then on “Birth Pang Figures.”

What follows is Prophecy Update Number 18, issued in 2001, and from which you may read about these statistics.

ARCHIVE PROPHECY UPDATE 18 QUOTE BEGINS

Before the sons of God were to appear in glorious manifestation on the millennial earth, there was to be a groaning of God’s creation. The earth was to travail like a woman experiencing birth pangs. We were advised of this by Paul in verses 19 and 22 of the eighth chapter of Romans, where he wrote: “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God,” and “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and trvaileth in pain together until now.” The birth pangs were occasionally felt during the time of Paul’s writings, but Matthew indicated they would increase noticeably just before Christ’s coming for his saints in verses 7b and 8 of the twentieth-fourth chapter of his gospel, where he wrote: “And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers (many different) places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (odin).” The word “odin” is used for “sorrows” by Matthew, and the same root word for “odin” is used by Paul in Romans 8:22 to describe the “travail” of God’s creation. You may use any Greek lexicon of your choice, and you will find that the basic meaning of the word “odin” refers to the birth pangs experienced by a woman in the travail of delivering a child. Therefore, when the Lord said “All these,” in verse 8, he was referring specifically to the birth pangs that would be suffered, in a period of time just before his coming, because of famines, pestilence, and earthquakes. He indicated that all three of these phenomena would increase steadily like a woman’s birth pangs, ever increasing in this period labeled as “the beginning of sorrows.” Down through the centuries earthquakes, famine, and pestilence have been used repeatedly to teach that the coming of Jesus was at hand. However, they have never followed the “odin” pattern of a woman’s birth pangs during recorded history, that is, until now. In order for this prophecy of Christ to be fulfilled these phenomena had to behave like a woman’s birth pains. When true labor pangs begin, they become greater and greater in frequency and intensity with the passage of time. Earthquake surges have come and gone in short duration patterns since this prophecy was uttered, but now, for the first time since it was given, they are steadily following the pattern of “odin.” The same basic pattern is now being followed in famine, pestilence, and earthquakes, just as Jesus indicated. In this update we will show the “odin” pattern in earthquakes. In future updates we will cover pestilence (loimos) and famine, Lord willing. The statistics which will follow were first extracted from the Earthquake Data File Summary, U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Environmental Data Service, Boulder, Colorado, which was issued in May of 1976. I have received updates to the original report from the same source every year since 1977. While the intensity of the earthquakes is similar to the Richter scale, with which most people are familiar, they are not exactly the same, but rather than launch out into a technical discussion of the difference, let me simply state that, for comparative purposes, they are the same. They come from Table 2 – Summary of data file by year by magnitude and depth. As you read the numbers which follow in the narrative, remember they are referring to earthquakes reported across the earth greater than one in intensity on the Richter scale. Before Israel officially became a nation in May of 1948, there were never more than 6,000 earthquakes greater than one reported in any 19 year period. I chose a 19 year cycle, because that is the number of years which passed between the time that Israel became a nation (1948), and the time she finally took back Old Jerusalem and her Temple Mount (1967). During the 19 year period between 1948 and the beginning of 1968, 32,789 earthquakes were reported across the surface of the planet. In 1967 Israel recaptured the Old City of Jerusalem and her Temple Mount and, for the first time since she lost it to the Romans in A.D. 70, she regained sovereignty over it. During the 19 year period that followed, from 1968 to 1986, there were 125,011 earthquakes reported across the earth. In just 14 years, from 1986 to 2000, we had 247,347 earthquakes reported on this globe. I assure you that they will continue to accelerate, but if they were simply to continue at this static rate of 17,688 per year then, by the time that the 19 year cycle is completed in 2005, there will have been 335,687 reported across the earth. By 2000 the average number reported per year since 1948 had increased, in 19 year cycles, from 1,726 to 6,579 to 17,688. I realize that a large part of the increase is due to better seismological equipment, a better reporting system, and an increase in the density of population, but it cannot be attributed to these factors alone. And, after all, Jesus simply said, for all practical purposes, that more and more would be reported in may different (divers) places just before he came again. And, in saying they would be in many different places, one would have to surmise he knew man would spread across the earth and that technology would rapidly increase in the last days. In any case, it demonstrates he is who he claimed to be, the Son of God, who knows the future. Did not the Spirit, in Daniel 12:4, indicate that man would spread across the earth, and technology would bring a literal knowledge and capability explosion: “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Could Jesus have known less?

ARCHIVE PROPHECY UPDATE 18 QUOTE ENDS

As you can see, as predicted, the average number per year did accelerate from 2000 to 2005, such that instead of 17,668 per year being the average number per year from 1986 to 2005, it was actually 20,061.

ARMAGEDDON – PLOWSHARES INTO WEAPONS

I am convinced we are living in what are called “the latter days” of what is commonly referred to as the Age of the Gentiles or the Age of the Church. We are not in what is referred to as “The Tribulation Period,” but we are rapidly approaching its beginning. The prophet Joel, in the verses that follow, describes the final event in the tribulation period, the battle of Armageddon in Israel, but we are several years away from that event. He closes the horrific event, in verses 16 and 17, with the Messiah returning to end this final battle, and then establishing his millennial kingdom.

Joel 3:9-17 – Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: [10] Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. [11] Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord. [12] Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. [13] Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. [14] Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. [15] The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. [16] The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. [17] So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

MILLENNIUM – WEAPONS INTO PLOWSHARES

The holy mountain, to which Joel refers in verse 17, is Mount Moriah in Jerusalem, where the Dome of the Rock now stands. The word “mountain” in the Old Testament, at times, was used to refer to the capitals of nations and, as such, to a nation or nations. Micah is referring to the status of the holy mountain (Jerusalem) and all the other mountains (world nations) following the battle of Armageddon during the millennial reign of Christ, at which time the weapons, created by beating plowshares into weapons before Armageddon, will be beaten back into plowshares for peaceful uses in an era of millennial peace.

Micah 4:1-8 – But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. [2] And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. [3] And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. [4] But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it. [5] For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever. [6] In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her (Israel) that halteth, and I will gather her (Israel) that is driven out, and her (Israel) that I have afflicted; [7] And I will make her (Israel) that halted a remnant, and her (Israel) that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them (Israel) in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. [8] And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

THE MILLENNIAL KINDGOM OF JESUS CHRIST!

Micah’s “daughter of Zion” is the city of Jerusalem, which will be the ruling city over all the dominion of the earth. The “daughter of Jerusalem” will be the great kingdom city of all the other kingdoms of this earth. It will have the “first dominion” position over all the great dominion of the kingdom of which Daniel wrote in his prophecies. It is this kingdom and dominion to which Daniel referred several times in his writings.

Daniel 7:13,14 – I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. [14] And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

PRE-KINGDOM JUDGMENT AT ARMAGEDDON!

Daniel describes the events of the last three and one-half years that close with the battle of Armageddon, which is followed by Christ’s millennial reign. A time equals one year, times equals two years, and the dividing of times equals a half year, all of which equal three and a half years, each one consisting of 360 days, for a grand total of 1260 days. The “he” in Daniel 7:25 is the antichrist, but his dominion will be taken from him at the final battle of Armageddon, and this earthly dominion will be under Christ for a thousand years.

Daniel 7:25-27 – And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. [26] But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. [27] And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

PRE-ARMAGEDDON ATTACK BY 10 ARAB KINGS

The initial attack against Israel will occur against Israel 1260 days prior to the final battle of Armageddon. It was taught (before the rise of popular modern day ideas concerning the 10 toes of Daniel’s great statue) that the 10 toes were to come out of the southern part of the old Roman Empire, not the northern European section. I have long contended that the following nations: Syria, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran, which all currently occupy the area included in the old Roman Empire at its maximum extent, are among the 10 toes of the statue in the second chapter of Daniel, and that the man identified as the antichrist, the beast, the king of the north, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, the man of sin, and the Assyrian, would come out of Syria or Lebanon. The soon to be Palestinian State will also be one of the 10 toes, and will attack Israel from within, while the other 9 attack from without. (Please view in our Prophecy Update Archives the following Prophecy Updates – 54, 74B, 74A, 73D, 78A, 78, 144F, and 160B)

Daniel 2:41-45 – And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. [42] And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. [43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. [44] And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. [45] Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

ARMAGEDDON – THE 10 PLUS MANY OTHER KINGS!

Christ was “the stone” that came miraculously by virgin birth, being cut out of God, “the mountain” eternal. He will be King of all the previous kingdoms – the gold was the kingdom of Babylon, the silver was the kingdom of Persia, the brass was the kingdom of Greece, the iron was the kingdom of Rome, and the 10 toes of clay will be the coming Arab Middle East kingdom of antichrist, which will attack Israel 1260 days before the end of the tribulation period. The beast leads the attack against Israel from Syria, reigns for 1260 days, and is found in Revelation 19:19 as the antichrist at the final battle of Armageddon. (Please view the following Prophecy Updates in our Prophecy Update Archives 81B, 27, 28, and 36)

Revelation 19:19-21 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Ezekiel 39:1-7 – Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: [2] And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: [3] And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. [4] Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. [5] Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. [6] And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord. [7] So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.

Ezekiel 34:23-31 – And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. [24] And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it. [25] And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. [26] And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. [27] And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them. [28] And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid. [29] And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. [30] Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord God. [31] And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

SPECIAL PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 206C

From the End of the First Advent to the Second Advent!

In four verses of Scripture, from Hosea 5:15 through 6:3, more that 700 years before it happened, there is a prediction: (1) Of the ascension of Messiah into heaven, (2) That Messiah would stay there until Israel acknowledged its rejection of him as their Messiah, (3) That Messiah would return to them when they did, and (4) That Messiah would revive them to become the leading nation on earth upon his return.

Hosea 5:15 to 6:3 – I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. [1] Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. [2] After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. [3] Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

An abbreviated line by line exposition of Hosea 5:15 follows by using Scriptures that explain the prediction of Hosea without any comment being necessary on my part.

[15A] – I WILL GO AND RETURN TO MY PLACE,

John 3:14,15 – And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 12:32 – And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

John 6:62,63 – What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? [63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Matthew 23:37,38 – O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

[15B] TILL THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR OFFENSE,

Matthew 23:39 – For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, TILL YE SHALL SAY, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Ezekiel 39:23-26 – And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. [24] According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. [25] Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; [26] After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

[15C] AND SEEK MY FACE:

Isaiah 31:6 – Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

Hosea 3:5 – Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

[15D] IN THEIR AFFLICTION THEY SHALL SEEK ME EARLY.

Matthew 24:21,22 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

[1A] COME, AND LET US RETURN UNTO THE LORD:

II Corinthians 3:14-16 – But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. [15] But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. [16] Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

Ezekiel 37:23,24 – Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. [24] And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

[1B] FOR HE HATH TORN, AND HE WILL HEAL US; HE HATH SMITTEN, AND HE WILL BIND US UP.

Zechariah 13:8,9 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

Zechariah 12:8-11 – In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. [9] And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. [10] And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Hosea 6:2 – AFTER TWO DAYS WILL HE REVIVE US: IN THE THIRD DAY HE WILL RAISE US UP, AND WE SHALL LIVE IN HIS SIGHT.

We passed from the second day into the third day in 2001, and will still be in the third day when God fulfills Hosea 6:2. I do not know precisely when it will be fulfilled in the third day, but that it will be fulfilled during that day, I am certain.

Psalm 90:4 + II Peter 3:8 – [4] For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. [8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

JESUS WILL COME IN THE 3RD DAY OF 1000 YEARS!

Christ left by ascension and returned to His place in heaven. He is waiting until they acknowledge their offense of rejecting Him as their Messiah. They will do so in the Negev when they are driven into it by antichrist, and will begin to seek His return. The affliction of the Tribulation Period experienced in the Negev will cause them to seek Jesus early in their tour of it. The Jewish remnant (The woman’s seed in Revelation 12:17) in the midst of Israel (the woman) is composed of 144,000 Jewish believers. This remnant will exhort the other Jews in the Negev (the 1.7 to 1.9 million from Zechariah 13:8,9 and Revelation 12:6,14) to “return unto the Lord.” They will tell them that their God has smitten and torn them, but if they will turn to him through his Son, he will bind up their wounds and heal them. We have been in Day 3 for 4 years. I know Jesus will come before 996 years pass. I believe that the tribulation period is likely to begin before, during, or shortly after 2008, which I confess is only opinion, but I know his coming is much closer than many realize.

Revelation 12:17 + 7:4 – [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. [4] And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Zechariah 13:8,9 + Revelation 12:6,14 – [8] And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [6] And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. [14] And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. The Coming Shaking Before the King Builds his House!

An Exposition of Haggai 2:6-9

The current situation in the Middle East, the unstable world economy, the increase in earthquake and volcanic related phenomena, the rapidly declining morality on a worldwide basis, the ever increasing attack on the Bible and its validity, the attempt to remove anything which could be associated with God from public places, and a falling away from the truths once delivered to the first New Testament churches, has convinced me Haggai’s prophecy in Haggai 2:6-9 will soon be fulfilled. Soon the BRANCH, the root, the rod out of David, the man who is the Son of God, Jesus Christ will return to build the temple of Ezekiel 40 to 48.

HAGGAI 2:6 – For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Malachi 4:1,2 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Matthew 24:21 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

HAGGAI 2:7 – And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

[7A] “And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come:”

Luke 21:25-28 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

[7B] “And I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of Hosts.”

Zechariah 6:12,13 – And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: [13] Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

He will sit on the throne of David as both eternal Ruler and eternal High Priest, thereby combining the two offices that existed in the Old Testament structure of Israel, and he will rule over all the earth.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Christ is the sign that will be set among the nations of the earth at his Second Advent, and they will fill the millennial temple with glory by their obedience and the return of all Israelis to their homeland by whatever is left for transportation after the destruction of the great tribulation period.

Isaiah 66:19-21 – And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. [20] And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord. [21] And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the Lord.

HAGGAI 2:8 – The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

The riches of the Gentile nations will pour into Israel for the 1000 years of his reign. Israel’s priesthood will be reestablished. Delegations from all nations will come to Jerusalem to worship at the feast of tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:14 – And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

Isaiah 61:6 – But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Zechariah 14:16 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

HAGGAI 2:9 – The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

[9A] “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The instructions for the building of this great millennial temple are contained in Ezekiel 40 to 43, and Messiah’s entrance, after its completion, is predicted in Ezekiel 43.

Ezekiel 43:1-7 – Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: [2] And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. [3] And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. [4] And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. [6] And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. [7] And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.

[9B] “And in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of Hosts.”

It will amount to a peace of a thousand years to Israel and all the Gentile nations. Israel will be a blessing to all the Gentile nations.

Isaiah 66:12-14 – For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. [13] As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. [14] And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

It would be wise for all believers to worship him today in one of his local churches before his second coming!

I Timothy 3:15 – But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest TO BEHAVE thyself in THE HOUSE OF GOD, WHICH IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Ephesians 2:22 – In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Ephesians 3:21 – Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The “Hudna” Talks and the False Peace

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (See Archive Prophecy Update Numbers 3, 21, 59, 60, 66A, 67A, and 70)

The new Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, is due to arrive in Gaza this week to attempt to persuade Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades, and other terrorist factions, to agree to a “hudna.” The articles appearing in the various press releases often are prone to simply apply the word “truce” to it, and while that is not incorrect, one does need to understand that, according to the historical Islamic way of thinking, it has a more sinister confrontational aspect to it.

According to Umdat as-Salik, a medieval summary of Shafi’I jurisprudence, a “hudna” with a non-Muslim enemy should be limited to 10 years: “if Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for 10 years if necessary, for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) made a hudna with the Quraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud” (‘Umdat as-Salik, 09.16). What happened during that hudna is burned into the minds of Islamic terrorists as a historical pattern to follow. The Prophet Mohammad did strike a 10 year hudna with the Quraysh tribe that controlled Mecca in the seventh century. But he used the first two years of hudna to rearm and refurbish his army, and then used a minor infraction to break the hudna and launch the attack that made a full conquest of Mecca, the holiest city of Islam.

When Yassar Arafat infamously invoked Mohammad’s “hudna” in 1994 to describe his own Oslo program of deceit “on the road to Jerusalem,” the implication was clear to his Islamic brethren. Middle East expert Daniel Pipes explained it this way: “when his circumstances change for the better, he will take advantage of some technicality to tear up the existing accords and launch a military assault on Israel.” And, indeed, this is what he did when Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount. He used it as an excuse to launch the current intifada on Jewish citizens in September 2000.

As for Hamas, they have proven time and time again their commitment to a “tactical hudna,” which allows them time to replenish their strength during the hudna period. Incidentally, the root meaning of the Arabic word “hudna” simply means “quiet” or “calm.” Hamas and the other terrorist groups will take advantage of the “calm’ period to rebuild their infrastructures and to recruit and place their men and women in advantageous positions for future attacks.

We are headed for a peace between the Palestinians and Israel. But, according to the character and practices of Islam, regardless of how it eventually arrives, it will be broken as soon as the Palestinians recover from their four year grinding to powder by the Israeli military. And it is certainly important to know that, according to the Scripture, it must be a false peace of relatively short duration, and will be followed by a most vicious attack against Israel. The attack will internally come from inside Israel out of a newly created Palestinian state, and externally from outside Israel’s borders by nine other Islamic nations.

Regardless of the factors involved, and the terms used by both sides in this long struggle between Israel and her Islamic enemies within and without, such as hudna, intifada, unilateral, two things are certain – one, Israel will finally believe it has achieved “Peace and safety,” and two, the Islamic nations will have made the peace with an evil thought, knowing they will proceed against the Israeli population that has enclosed the Palestinians by a wall, but left their own cities outside this wall in a condition of having no walls facing the rest of the world of Islam.

Ezekiel 38:10-12 – Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think AN EVIL THOUGHT: [11] And thou shalt say, I will go up to the LAND OF UNWALLED villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that DWELL SAFELY, all of them dwelling WITHOUT WALLS, and having neither bars nor gates, [12] To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and UPON THE PEOPLE THAT ARE GATHERED OUT OF THE NATIONS, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. (See Archive Prophecy Update Number 31)

Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but THE THIRD shall be left therein. (See Archive Prophecy Update Numbers 28, 33, 40, 46, 71, 78, 88A, 112, 129B, and 130)

Revelation 12:6 – And THE WOMAN fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (See Archive Birth Pang Number 36 and Archive Prophecy Update Numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10)

Zechariah 14:2 – For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. The Time of Jacob’s Trouble – Part 2

Jeremiah 30:7-9 – Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. [8] For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: [9] But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

I discussed the time of Jacob’s trouble in verse 7, the breaking of his yoke, and the bursting of his bonds, in Part 1.  Following the occurrence of these two events we find the millennial reign of Jesus the Messiah on the throne of his forefather, King David.  There are many references to his coming reign on David’s throne in both the Old and New Testaments.  A few of them are part of this Update.

JEREMIAH 30:9 – But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Even though their Messiah left their house spiritually desolate when they rejected him, he made them a very genuine promise that he will soon keep.

Matthew 23:38,39 – Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Israel has been without all the things associated with the age of its temple worship for almost two thousand years, but, when their Messiah returns, they will receive him as such, and he will sit upon the throne of David as their only King in his sanctuary in Jerusalem in the midst of them for a thousand years.

Hosea 3:4,5 – For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: [5] Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

Ezekiel 37:22-28 – And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: [23] Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. [24] And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. [25] And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. [26] Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

The Lord will destroy all the armies of the nations that come against Israel at the battle of Armageddon.  When Israel sees him do this, it will repent of the forefather’s rejection of him as Messiah, and a remnant will return out of the Negev.   Jesus will be their King on the throne of David, as the FIRSTBORN from the dead.  A period of mourning in sackcloth and ashes will accompany the act of repentance for the sin of rejection of their King.

Zechariah 12:9,10 – And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Messiah is the image of the invisible God we have never seen, the FIRSTBORN of every creature, the creator of all things, and the FIRSTBORN brother of all believers, both Jew and Gentile.

Colossians 1:13-16 – Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: [14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: [15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the FIRSTBORN of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

He was the FIRSTBORN among many brethren, and he came into the world knowing he would be rejected, but also knowing it was the only way God could be just and the justifier of those who would put their faith in him. Romans 3:26 – To declare, I say, at this time, his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

His rejection set the stage for him to one day rule as the King of kings on the throne of his forefather David.

Luke 1:30-33 – Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

Romans 8:28,29 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the FIRSTBORN among MANY BRETHREN.

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED in CHRIST JESUS unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Hebrews 2:11-13 – For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, [12] Saying, I will declare thy name unto MY BRETHREN, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. [13] And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and THE CHILDREN WHICH GOD HATH GIVEN ME.

Isaiah 9:7 – Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The Time of Jacob’s Trouble – Part 2A

Jeremiah 30:7-9 – Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. [8] For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: [9] But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

The yoke referred to is the yoke placed on them by the devil and his antichrist, by the devil spiritually and by the antichrist, the Assyrian, physically by entrapment in the Negev wilderness.  (See Archive Prophecy Updates 62 to 69)

The yoke the Devil has used most successfully, against both Jew and Gentile, is the self-imposed heavy burden they allow the law to place over their heads, and upon their shoulders, as a yoke they actually think they can carry to be made just before God, rather than admitting it is impossible for them to keep every jot and tittle of it.  They will not acknowledge that the law was given to show men and women how sinful they really are, and how far they fall short of the righteousness of God.  The law was a schoolmaster to teach them that they had to be saved by God’s grace in his promised Messiah, not by their supposed works of righteousness in being able to actually keep every jot and tittle of the law.

Galatians 3:24 – Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:10 – As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

They actually believe they can keep the law well enough to satisfy God, who gave it to let them see how far they were from God with their inherited Adamic nature.  They believed their works in the flesh in keeping the law, along with their circumcision, would justify them before God as being the children of God through their father Abraham, and they simply did not want to hear any other teaching –  They would not hear the truth.

John 8:32,33 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  [33] They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

They would not come to the realization they were sold under the bondage of sin by the power of control the Devil had over them, they would not admit individually they were each the “chief of sinners, sold under sin,” but Paul was a Jew who did.

Romans 7:14 – For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

They would not admit in midst of their religious fever they were under the bondage of their father, the devil.

John 8:44,45 – Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. [45] And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Only Jesus can break the devil’s yoke of bondage under which we are born, and set us eternally free from it.

John 8:36 – If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Jeremiah 30:8 – For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

Finally, “in that day,” in the Negev before Messiah’s Second Advent, the nation of Israel will finally believe, and their yoke of bondage will be broken.  They will at last believe and trade their yoke of bondage under the law for the glorious yoke of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 11:28-30 – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Finally, they will honor Jesus by coming to him as their Messiah and Savior.  The religious leaders of his day would not, but the Jews in the Negev will before his Second Advent.  Jesus spoke the following words to the religious leaders who would not honor him as the Son of the living God, who their God, his Father, had sent to save them from their sins, and to being in the kingdom.

John 5:39-41 – Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. [40] And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. [41] I receive not honour from men.

Jeremiah 30:8 – For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

The yoke of the three and one-half years of physical bondage entrapment in the Negev will be broken, and Israel will drive out of the Negev north to Hamath, west to the River of Egypt, and east to the Euphrates to take the land grant promised to their father Abraham.

Genesis 15:18 – In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

“The sea” is the Mediterranean and Hamath is the northern border of the land grant.

Ezekiel 47:17 – And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.

Kadesh is the southern border, “the river” is the great Euphrates, and the great sea is the Mediterranean.

Ezekiel 47:19 – And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

The encircling Negev entrapment bondage yoke of the Assyrian antichrist will be broken, and God will destroy him and all his armies.

Micah 5:5-7 – And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. [6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.  (See Archive Prophecy Updates 62 to 69)

And Israel will dwell safely in Abraham’s land grant for a thousand years.

Micah 5:7 – And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

And the devil and all his demonic hoard of fallen angels will be spiritually confined to the interior of the earth for a thousand years, unable to influence man through his sinful flesh.  He will no longer be able to push down on the yoke of bondage as the master of their flesh and souls for a thousand years.  Israel will serve Messiah.

Revelation 20:1-3 – And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, [3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Jeremiah 30:8,9 – For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: [9] But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Zechariah 14:8,9,16 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one. [16] And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

The Time of Jacob’s Trouble – Part 3A

JEREMIAH 30:7,10 – Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

He came unto his own people, the nation of Israel, but they rejected him, but in spite of their rejection he said he would one day come from afar, from heaven, to save them out of what is called “the time of Jacob’s trouble.” A few of the Jews believed on his name and became sons of God, being born not of man’s flesh and blood, but by the will of God, however, the vast majority of Israelites did not receive him.

John 1:11-13 – He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Israel, as a nation, rejected both the promised king and his kingdom. In spite of their rejection he has promised to come again at the end of the tribulation period, and has said they will then receive him and his kingdom, thereby being restored to fellowship with their God through faith in Messiah.

JEREMIAH 30:10 – Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

Matthew 23:38,39 – Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Israel refused to have him as the King over them and rejected his kingdom. Now the whole world refuses to have him as its king, and has rejected both the King and his kingdom. This time the King will return as the Lion of Judah and, like it or not, he will set his kingdom on this earth, and will rule the earth from Jerusalem as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Matthew 3:1,2 – In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, [2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:12,17 – Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; [17] From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

This is the King and the kingdom Israel rejected, and it is the same King and kingdom that the world at large is rejecting again today.

Eventually false peace will come to Israel and, after a brief period of supposed peace, there will be a vicious Jihad from the north by 10 kings of Islamic nations, followed by three and one-half years of tribulation, with Israel being driven into the Negev wilderness. At the end of this time these kings, and the other kings of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, and Asia, will gather for a last great battle, the battle of Armageddon. They, along with the 10 kings that initially attacked Israel three and one-half years earlier, will be the ones whose armies are destroyed by Christ at his Second Advent, as described in Daniel 2 and Revelation 19.

Daniel 2:44 – And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

This is the King of Kings who will slay the remnant of the antichrist’s armies.

Revelation 19:16 – And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

This King of Kings is Jesus, and he is the stone revealed by Daniel following Daniel 2:44.

Daniel 2:45 – Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

This King of Kings is the BRANCH, who is also the stone with seven eyes laid before the high priest, and this King Branch Stone will cleanse the iniquity of the nation of Israel in a single day at his Second Advent.

Zechariah 3:8,9 – Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. [9] For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Colossians 2:9,10 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. [10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Zechariah 6:12 – And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:

Ezekiel 43:4-7 – And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. [6] And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. [7] And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile,

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The Time of Jacob’s Trouble – Part 4

JEREMIAH 30:7 – Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

When the time of Jacob’s trouble, the great tribulation period, has ended, the vast majority of the world’s six billion plus population will have perished.  And if God had allowed the trouble to continue much longer, no flesh would have survived it, but God did promise he would not make a “full end” of Israel as a nation.

Matthew 24:21,22 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

JEREMIAH 30:11 – For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

Israel’s punishment began in 70 A.D. and will continue to the end of the great tribulation period.

Luke 21:24 – And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Their punishment and spiritual blindness toward God will continue until the Gentile age period of dominance over Israel ends.

Romans 11:25 – For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Romans 11:32 – For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Israel’s bruises and wounds have been grievous and incurable since the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., with the greatest atrocity to date being the slaughter of some six million Jews by the Nazi regime.

JEREMIAH 30:12 – For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

Jesus clearly warned them of their fate because they rejected him as the promised Messiah of God.

And, indeed, their attempted worship of God through the law has been in vain since their Messiah declared it to be so just before he was arrested to be crucified.  The law is truly a ministration of death to those who do not see the light of Christ’s sacrifice in his fulfilling of it.

II Corinthians 3:7-16 – But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: [8] How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? [9] For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. [10] For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. [11] For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. [12] Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: [13] And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: [14] But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. [15] But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. [16] Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

The vail will be lifted in the Negrv when Israel finally repents and believes their Messiah is Jesus Christ, who will deliver them when comes at his Second Advent.  Matthew 23:38 was fulfilled when Israel delivered their Messiah to be crucified by the Gentiles.  Matthew 23:39 will be fulfilled when Messiah returns to deliver Israel from the Gentiles at his Second Advent.

Matthew 23:38,39 – Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Soon Messiah will come to rule and reign after almost four million Jews have been slaughtered in Israel by the armies of antichrist.  But about two million will survive a 1260 day entrapment in the Negev Wilderness, where they will repent toward God’s Son, and be restored to receive the land grant God promised to Abraham.

Zechariah 13:8,9,16 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God. [16] And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

I am not personally concerned about death or going into this time of Jacob’s trouble, because Jesus pleads my cause.

JEREMIAH 30:13A – There is none to plead thy cause,

I have a daysman, a referee, an umpire, an intercessor, an advocate, a Savior, the man Christ Jesus, whose arm of spiritual bonding extends between me and God for all eternity. Job cried out for a daysman between himself and God that he might intercede between them, and God sent the daysman in the person of his Son Jesus.

Job 9:32,33 – For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. [33] Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.

Isaiah 59:16 – And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there WAS NO INTERCESSOR: THEREFORE HIS ARM brought SALVATION unto him; AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, it sustained him.

Isaiah 53:1,12 – Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the ARM of the Lord revealed? [12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made INTERCESSION for the transgressors.

Hebrews 7:25 – Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing HE EVER LIVETH to make INTERCESSION for them.

JEREMIAH 30:13B – That thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

Sinful man, with his inherited sinful nature, could not bandage his own self inflicted sinful wounds, for there was no healing agent within him to cure the infection he had caught from Adam.  It was a spiritual wound that could only be healed by a quickening spirit, and God made his only begotten Son in a virgin’s womb so that men might avail themselves of his spiritual balm which, when applied once, would forever heal a man.

I Corinthians 15:45 – And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Only Jesus can heal the open bleeding wound of a sinful nature we inherited from the first man Adam.

Isaiah 53:5 – But HE WAS WOUNDED for our transgresssions, he was BRUISED for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with HIS STRIPES we are HEALED.

The vast majority of Israel did not receive him.  Their carnal eyes remained blinded to the truth, their carnal ears would not receive the truth, and their carnal hearts would not open to the light of the glorious gospel of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.  However, a few received sight, a few heard, and a few hearts were changed, and it is the same today as we draw close to the end of the age of the Gentiles.

Matthew 13:15,16 – For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should HEAL them. [16] But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

A carnal eye cannot see it, a carnal ear will not hear it, and a carnal heart cannot understand it.

I Corinthians 2:9-14 – But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. [11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. [12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. [13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [14] But the natural man RECEIVETH NOT the things of the Spirit of God: for THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

II Corinthians 4:3-6 – But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: [4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. [5] For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. [6] For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 1:17,18 – For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.   [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish FOOLISHNESS; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
